The Thermalito afterbay and forebay are also available, they are always full of water, generally have calm water, and the afterbay is free! Both are less than 20 minutes away. Note that even though the Lime Saddle boat ramp is closed there is still access for fishing and swimming. Close to a lot of exciting activities and day trips. The scenic and fast moving North Fork of the Feather river is 25 minutes away with tubing, fishing, swimming and lots of fun side creeks to explore and stay cool in. Of course the lake is right around the corner. Great parks and mountain biking in Chico as well. River Bend park in Oroville is 12 minutes south and has a water play area, huge soccer fields, pavilions, river access and fishing. Lake Oroville Dam (the tallest and largest Dam in the United States) is about 25 minutes, the fish hatchery in Oroville about 15 minutes. 2 casinos in Oroville are both about 20 minutes. Mount Lassen National Park is about 90 miles North, Lakes Basin is about 2 hours, and Lake Tahoe is a little over 2 hours away. This beautifully remodeled home is located on the 18th fairway at Butte Creek Country Club. It sits on a family friendly street 10 minutes away from downtown. Our cabin is 432 sq foot cabin across the road from the lake where you can water ski, jet ski, fish, look for bald eagles or osprey or just cruise. In the winter the cabin is only accessible via snowmobile or cross country skis. Its 4 miles from where the county stops plowing from the summit to the cabin and the road is closed to wheeled vehicles. The road is usually groomed along with many more miles of trails to ride or ski on. The bedroom has a full size bed, the loft has 2 twin beds and a twin size hide-a-bed downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, oven and stove, and plenty of utensils. It has a propane fireplace and a propane BBQ. It has a large screen TV with DVR (there is no TV reception). There is no cell service, but it has a land line. There are two lodges with marinas where boats or kayaks can be rented. Each lodge has a restaurant, bar and general store. The area offers hiking (the pacific crest trail can be accessed in several spots), 4 wheeling, hunting in the fall and snowmobiling in the winter with many miles of groomed trails or boondocking, ice fishing, snowshoeing or cross country skiing. We welcome you to come and enjoy our mountain getaway at bucks lake ca. We built our retreat in 1996 and updated the home in 2014 with hickory hardwood flooring, tile floor baths and new plush carpets in the bedrooms. There are new granite counter tops and sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms. The home has three bedrooms, a sleeping loft and two baths.
